When asked about her the best experience of her life, she said it was coming to Ole Miss. Her grandmother lives in Mississippi, and Rearick has been coming to visit her every summer.
"I wanted to come to Ole Miss to escape the cold weather and the Chicago lifestyle I was accustomed to," says Rearick.
She was caught in a tornado while at camp one summer. Rearick, along with several other people, had to run from their cabin to shelter in the cafeteria. WHile she was running outside there was debris being thrown everywhere along with strong rain and wind. One of her shoes came off while running to safety. Rearick had to stop and look for her shoe, while in a panic to get to shelter. Once she found her shoe, Rearick looked up to realize she was the only one outside. She kept running straight, luckily in the direction of the cafeteria. Rearick was safe from the tornadoes.
Rearick was a part of a mission trip to Xijpui, Mexico.
"That was the only time I have been out of the country," Rearick said "I hope to be able to more mission work in the future."
