The Green Fund is a program that looks to lower energy costs
for the university as well as reduce the carbon footprint left behind.
The fund will add five to twelve dollars to students’ tuition
every semester for energy saving renovations such as energy efficient light
bulbs and better insulated buildings and even goes as far as installing solar
panels on campus.
These renovations are predicted to save the university thousands of dollars on energy bills and in the long run even slow down the steady increase in tuition for students. But how do students feel about this addition to their
tuition?
